Team Liquid proved their mental fortitude once again, bouncing back from a grueling overtime defeat on Ancient to clinch a crucial series victory. At the center of the resurgence was veteran rifler Keith “NAF” Markovic, who anchored the roster with a series-topping 1.12 rating.
Overtime Drama on Ancient
The series opened with high-stakes tension on Ancient. Both squads traded blows in regulation, pushing the opening map past the 24-round limit into a chaotic overtime battle. Despite clutch rounds and valiant defensive holds, Liquid couldn’t close out the map, suffering a heartbreaking defeat that could have easily broken their momentum.
NAF Leads the Bounce-Back
Rather than letting the map-one heartbreak dictate the series, Liquid mounted an emphatic comeback. NAF stood tall as the team’s cornerstone, demonstrating elite crosshair placement and ice-cold decision-making under pressure.
Whether locking down sites or winning key trade situations, the Canadian star consistently generated multi-kill rounds to break his opponents’ economy. His 1.12 overall rating across the best-of-three was the highest on the server, serving as the steady bedrock Liquid needed to secure the remaining maps and close out the match.
Looking Ahead
Recovering from an overtime loss requires elite mental discipline, and Liquid’s ability to reset highlights their growth as a cohesive unit. With NAF continuing to deliver world-class consistency, Team Liquid looks poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
